One point for those new to PowerToys: Keyboard Manager must be enabled (with PowerToys running in the background) for remapped keys and shortcuts to be applied. In Word 2003 for example, this is under Tools > Customize > Keyboard (where the required shortcuts are present by default, but you can add to them if so desired). If necessary you can install them in any program that allows you to customize keyboard shortcuts. This works for me in Word and in R (everything I tested), where the start/end of document keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl+home, Ctrl+end) seem to be installed by default. In my case, after using Powertoys as above:Ĭtrl+Win+left takes the cursor to start of document, andĬtrl+Win+right takes the cursor to end of document. Just press and hold Ctrl, then use your chosen shortcuts for home or end. You do not need fancy Autotype scripts (or anything extra) for this. The reason is that Powertoys does not offer StartofDoc or EndofDoc as “Mapped To” options but these are pre-installed in many programs, using the Ctrl key. You can map any combination you like, but it is best to avoid use of the Ctrl key. I use Win+left = Home, Win+right = End, Win+ up = Page Up, Win+down = Page Down. In any case the problem can easily be solved without use of AutoHotKey, by Windows users at least, using Microsoft PowerToys > Keyboard Manager > Shortcuts as mentioned above by Riz. This is a problem with many compact keyboards, because they lack dedicated “Home”’, “End”, “Page Up” and “Page Down” keys.ĭoesn’t use of AutoHotKey open up some increased risks from hacking? ToolTip, Laptop PrtScr/Insert remapping disabled. Disable the Printscreen and Insert key mapping. Ctrl-Shift-Win-z = Ctrl-Shift-Home = select to start of document Shift-Win-z = Shift-Home = select to start of line The F11 key The F11 key allows you to activate full-screen mode in your browser. In Word, you can use F10 with the Ctrl key to maximize or minimize a window. If you combine it with the Shift key, you can perform the function of a right-click without using a mouse. Ctrl-Win-z = Ctrl-Home = start of document To access a browser’s menu bar, simply press the F10 function key. I had to do a bit more work to answer in order to make Ctrl-End, Shift-End, and Ctrl-Shift-End work though: I used AutoHotKey to map Win-x to End, and Win-z to Home. I had the same problem admittedly with a crappy Chinese imitation of an Apple mini keyboard (there literally is no model or manufacturer identifier on it whatsoever). It sounds fairly promising, though it will certainly face a lot of stiff competition in the mobile card game space. There are a number of key gameplay elements that result in very different. The three lower blocks - The far left box is a black box within the middle a little box a tint lower than black. The middle box is a lined square with a central grey square. The far right white box has a smaller "grey" box that should barely be visible. Finally, the first step should be completely black. Also, the dark-end step differences should be about the same as the light-end step differences. If your monitor is correctly set up, you should be able to distinguish each step, and each step should be visually distinct from its neighbors by the same amount. Top bar - This simple test pattern is evenly spaced from 0 to 255 brightness levels, with no profile embedded.Looking at the above graph, what are you looking for? We realized, if that happens, your monitor is not properly set up. How do we know this? Because we receive a couple of emails every now and then telling us that a reader can't distinguish between the benchmark charts (colors) in our reviews. I realized recently that a lot of you guys have set up your monitor improperly. Over 100 FPS? You either have a MONSTER graphics card or a very old game.īefore playing games, setting up your monitor's contrast & brightness levels is a very important thing to do.When a graphics card is doing 60 FPS on average or higher then you can rest assured that the game will likely play extremely smoothly at every point in the game, turn on every possible in-game IQ setting.Match the best possible resolution to this result and you'll have the best possible rendering quality versus resolution, hey you want both of them to be as high as possible. With 30 FPS up-to roughly 40 FPS you'll be very able to play the game with perhaps a tiny stutter at certain graphically intensive parts. So if a graphics card barely manages less than 30 FPS, then the game is not very playable, we want to avoid that at all cost. After forcing the same image quality settings this time-demo is then used for all graphics cards so that the actual measuring is as objective as can be. That test is often a time demo, a recorded part of the game which is a 1:1 representation of the actual game and its gameplay experience. We measure this in FPS, the number of frames a graphics card can render per second, the higher it is the more fluently your game will display itself.Ī game's frames per second (FPS) is a measured average of a series of tests. There's a dilemma though, IQ often interferes with the performance of a graphics card. What are we looking for in gaming, performance wise? First off, obviously Guru3D tends to think that all games should be played at the best image quality (IQ) possible. By comparison with AMES-Cond evolutionary tracks, we find that only some atmosphericmodels predict physically plausible objects. The extremely red color and the very shallow 1.4 μm water absorption feature of HD 206893 B can be fit well with the adapted atmospheric models and spectral retrievals. We also infer the orbital parameters of HD 206893 B by combining the ~100 μas precision astrometry from GRAVITY with data from the literature and constrain the mass and position of HD 206893 C based on the Gaia proper motion anomaly of the system. However, forsterite, corundum, and iron grains predict similar extinction curves for the grain sizes considered here. To recover its unusual spectral features, first and foremost its extremely red near-infrared color, we include additional extinction by high-altitude dust clouds made of enstatite grains in the atmospheric model fits. We fit atmospheric models for giant planets and brown dwarfs and perform spectral retrievals with petitRADTRANS and ATMO on the observed GRAVITY, SPHERE, and GPI spectra of HD 206893 B. We aim to reveal the nature of the reddest known substellar companion HD 206893 B by studying its near-infrared colors and spectral morphology and by investigating its orbital motion. Near-infrared interferometry has become a powerful tool for studying the orbital and atmospheric parameters of substellar companions.Īims. How Renslayer Connects To Kang The Conqueror The suit’s hologram technology even allows her to assume different identities - including a major MCU villain-to-be, Kang the Conqueror. (Anyone who watched her battle with Sylvie and Loki in Episode 4 knows that to be true.) Mbatha-Raw referenced the character’s military background, and the comics’ Renslayer is a skilled “space-time” pilot who dons a futuristic suit and weapons as the Terminatrix. One thing both Renslayers have in common, though, is that they are formidable fighters. Mbatha-Raw also told The Hollywood Reporter that the onscreen version of the character “worked her way up” to her current post and “wasn’t born into power,” further suggesting a possible departure from the comics. “There is an anticipation there,” she explained, referencing Renslayer’s comics backstory, “but I didn't have to feel the weight of playing all of that because what we're doing comes before.” However, as Mbatha-Raw told Bustle’s Gretchen Smail, this iteration of her character seems to exist “pre all of the potential stuff that people may have read about.” Ravonna Renslayer Is Royalty In The ComicsĪccording to Marvel, the comics’ Renslayer is a princess - the daughter of King Carelius who rules on another version of Earth in the 40th century. Here is everything you should know about Ravonna Renslayer in the Marvel comics - and how her presence in Loki could help progress Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a major way. There’s lots of layers of Renslayer to come.” Director and executive producer Kate Herron specifically included Mbatha-Raw in her pitch for Loki, telling Bustle that “there's a lot of interesting, juicy stuff to talk about there being a woman in power.” “She has to make some morally ambiguous choices. In conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Gugu Mbatha-Raw explained that there would be “somewhat of an origin story for Renslayer,” her character, in the series. But should viewers be so quick to judge the mysterious figure helming the TVA at the behest of the even more mysterious Time-Keepers? As it turns out, Renslayer has a complicated comics backstory - one that’s seen her keep some pretty questionable company - and it may not be too long before that history comes to life on screen. Mobius and, indirectly, Loki himself (of course, after that Roxxcart escape and subsequent TVA shenanigans, she’s definitely regretting it). This early decision positioned Renslayer as an ally to Mobius M. From the start of Loki, Judge Ravonna Renslayer has proven herself to be a powerful presence in the Time Variance Authority - wielding the power to prune and reset the God of Mischief but choosing not to, albeit reluctantly. The film has since been reissued by Walt Disney Pictures and was re-released annually in Disney Digital 3-D from 2006 until 2010. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, a first for an animated film, but lost to Jurassic Park. While only a modest box office hit at first, it has since garnered a large cult following. The film met with critical success upon release, earning praise for its animation (particularly the innovation of the stop-motion art form), characters, songs and score. Production started in July 1991 in San Francisco Disney initially released the film through Touchstone Pictures because the studio believed the film would be "too dark and scary for kids". Over the years, Burton's thoughts regularly returned to the project, and, in 1990, he made a development deal with Walt Disney Studios. With the success of Vincent in the same year, Burton began to consider developing The Nightmare Before Christmas as either a short film or a half-hour television special, to no avail. The Nightmare Before Christmas originated in a poem written by Burton in 1982 while he was working as an animator at Walt Disney Productions. The principal voice cast also includes Chris Sarandon, Catherine O'Hara, William Hickey, Ken Page, Paul Reubens, Glenn Shadix, and Ed Ivory. Danny Elfman wrote the songs and score and provided the singing voice of Jack. It tells the story of Jack Skellington, the King of " Halloween Town", who stumbles upon " Christmas Town" and schemes to take over the holiday. The Nightmare Before Christmas (also known as Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas) is a 1993 American stop-motion animated musical dark fantasy film directed by Henry Selick (in his feature directorial debut) and produced and conceived by Tim Burton. Renault claims it offers “a new dimension of quality and comfort rivalling models from the class above” with extensive use of higher-grade materials and newly designed seats. The interior of the new car, like the Clio, has had a more substantial overhaul than the exterior. It’s said to weigh “about the same” as the old car despite its increase in size and equipment levels, thanks to details such as an aluminium bonnet and plastic tailgate. The Mk2 Captur sits on the same CMF-B platform first used for the latest Renault Clio. The new crossover is significantly larger than its predecessor, with 100mm added to its length – with a 33mm longer wheelbase – and a 19mm increase in width. To continue that success, the new Seat Arona rival adopts an evolutionary approach to the exterior design that Renault describes as “more modern, more muscular and more expressive, with more SUV design cues”. The French maker claims to have sold more of the outgoing Captur last year than when it first launched in 2013.
